It’s about the focus, not the flash

Being phenomenal doesn’t mean you’re making ground breaking discoveries and producing paradigm shattering results on a regular basis.

Sometimes, it’s just a matter of showing up, doing your work, maintaining focus, and knowing for yourself that it’s what you’re called to do.

When you die, the world will probably remember you for the one or two really dramatic things you do. But without the mundane moments in the interim where you consistently do the right thing, no matter how boring or unappreciated it feels, there will be no life or legacy worth talking about.

At least that’s the way I see it.

Cheers,
