Presence, problems, and possibilities

Every moment is unique and each experience contains its own particular range of possibilities.

What works on Monday might not apply to Tuesday and what was effective this morning may be a disaster in the afternoon.

The key to effectiveness isn’t having a prepackaged response to every hypothetical scenario.

The key is being mentally and emotionally available enough to access and appropriate the specific possibilities that are inherent in whatever moment you are in.

The ability to be present is a strategy that works with every person, in every profession, and on every day of the week.

That’s today’s two cents.

Cheers,

Oh so true, T.K. and how much I needed to read this today!! Sometimes I fall into this trap, telling myself, Well that worked really well yesterday, I’ll just do the same tomorrow and it’ll be great… You’re right! Everyday is a different day and every moment a different moment which I need to respond by being present to each and every moment. Thanks for the reminder and the inspiration! 🙂

    1. I’m glad to remind you AND me of this timeless truth, Audrey. I’ve fallen into this trap a million and one times. I’ve been making a greater effort to meditate more consistently as of late and it’s been really great at helping me do this. There’s nothing like being open to the possibility of the unprecedented, eh? Cheers 🙂
