Willpower versus Wisdom

Resilience is not a substitute for learning to observe the world with penetrating vision.

The ability to courageously fight adversity and triumphantly defeat one’s enemies is a dispensable commodity to the one who sees all things from a creative and empowering point of view.

Sometimes the most effective response to a challenging situation is not flexing your muscles, but finding a perspective that is free of resistance, reactionism, and resentment.

Will-power is the strength to fight for what you want. Wisdom is the ability to recognize that a war isn’t always necessary.

Both qualities are essential, but wisdom, alone, is the one that can tell you which one is right for the moment.

Perceptiveness, not persistence, is the true enemy of every problem.
