No one wakes up in the morning desperate to figure out how to create an awesome reality for YOU.
Your needs are YOUR needs and as wonderful as it would be for people to support you, forgive you, endorse you, liberate you, discover you, remember you, or take it easy on you, you’re playing the emotional equivalent of the lotto when you base your personal freedom on these sorts of things.
No one will ever care about your freedom more than you.
James Baldwin wrote: “Freedom is not something that anybody can be given. Freedom is something people take, and people are as free as they want to be.”
Don’t ask, “how can I be more free?”
Ask, instead, “what’s stopping me from granting myself the permission to be the predominant creative force in my own life?”
