It’s one thing to analyze people. It’s another thing to engage them.
To analyze people is to form theories *about* them. To engage people is to form relationships *with* them.
If you want to develop accurate and useful theories about human behavior, you need to go beyond pure logical analysis.
There will always be more to the story of what makes people tick than what you can figure out through deduction and speculation.
Solving people problems isn’t the same as solving math problems. Pay attention to what your head tells you, but don’t underestimate what an actual person is willing to tell you once you’ve earned their trust and respect.
A true student of human action knows how to win hearts as well as they know how to win arguments.
