Being a Person is Offensive

Stand by what you believe and don’t back down just because someone chooses to get their feathers ruffled by the fact that you gave yourself permission to actually have a personality. Critics will come and go for every philosophy, every work of art, and every lifestyle choice. Being a person is offensive, but that doesn’t mean you should stop being one.

There is no such thing as immunity from the consequences that come with having an identity. So stop looking for a safe position to hold and start having the guts to support the ideas, projects, and agendas that actually resonate with you.

Go ahead. Have an opinion. It’s okay. It really is. It’s dangerous, of course, but it’s no less safe than the alternative.
