Like them, but don’t be like them

Mindlessly agreeing with negativity in order to fit in with complainers and critics comes at a great cost;

the ability to create the extraordinary results that we experience when we keep our minds free of disempowering influences.

Love and respect everyone, including the pessimists. Just remember that liking someone and being like them are two different things. You can be kind and friendly to others without having to uncritically endorse every aspect of  how they see the world.

Don’t be afraid to be different.

Don’t be afraid to distance yourself from practices and conversations that are unhealthy for you just because your peers engage in them.

Do what you do for you.

It’s cool to be cool, but denying your convictions isn’t one of the cool things.

Sacrificing your happiness, health, and creative power in order to be thought of as cool, will only transform you into a mediocre and dissatisfied soul.

You’re much better than that.
