A good day defined

Happiness and difficulty are not opposites.

In other words, there’s nothing contradictory, hypocritical, or delusional about saying “it’s a good day” when you’re in the middle of sorting out serious problems.

A good day only requires two conditions: 1) Being alive and 2) Being more committed to focusing on the elements that make life worth living than on anything else.

With that being said, have a good day–even if it’s difficult.

  1. And another very good post.

And maybe to quote those “old folks” whose enduring optimism will prompt them with the humor borne of overcoming life’s obstacles: “Any day above ground is a good day.”
