Agree to disagree

Dissent is the birthplace for creative thought.

The full potential of an idea cannot be realized without interaction with contrasting perspectives.

When our ideas are contradicted, criticized, and opposed, that is when we learn how to release our prejudices and refine our presuppositions.

Even when we persist in retaining the same beliefs, those beliefs take on a more nuanced and sophisticated form when challenged.

The ideas that are truly valuable are never threatened by the expression of disagreement.

Dogmatism, not dissent, is the enemy of truth, innovation, and progress.

  1. “Dissent not Dogma” Yes. T.K.

Thinking of Bill Nye, the science guy: “Everyone
you will ever meet knows something you don’t know.”

So much more to learn. Always.
