Contrast: The Birthplace of Possibility

Sometimes the people we need the most are the ones who seem to irritate the living daylights out of us because of the constant challenges and critiques they lay at our feet. We won’t always have time to argue. We won’t always have time to react and respond to every challenge made. We won’t always agree with the logical basis for their critiques. We won’t always succeed at resolving the issues that differentiate us. Nevertheless, it’s good to have people in your circle who can protect you from complacency and dogmatism. Creativity, intellectual development, and personal refinement never happens in a vacuum. All things good arise out of contrast. When you resent your challenges, you resist your growth.
