Enduring Falsehood

If you want truth, you have to endure falsehood.

That is, there is no source of information that is free from one of the following flaws: 1) it contains factual errors or logical fallacies and/or 2) it was written by someone who is guilty of having factual errors or logical fallacies somewhere in their belief system.

There’s no way around it.

Every philosophy, every worldview, every religion, every political ideology, every position on every issue is vulnerable to the charge of guilt by association.

If you’re looking for a book, mentor, political candidate, guru, or hero that has never agreed with or been associated with something false, you’re looking in vain.

We live in an imperfect world. So whatever bit of truth you find, you’ll have to find it in an environment of imperfection.
