Before You Quit Your Day Job, Quit Despising Yourself For Having One

Maya Angelou advised “do what you love, and the money will follow.”

Yet we live in a world where many people don’t feel like the money is following them at all. Moreover, the things we have to do just to survive are things that don’t always leave us feeling proud and dignified.

Our dreams say things like “Start a business and work for yourself” while our reality says things like “Wake up and get out of bed. It’s time to go to your job at Burger King.”

How do we resolve this tension? How do we cope with the interim between the conception of a dream and its ultimate realization?
