By Obsessively Avoiding It, You Run Right Into It

Two seemingly opposing paths:

1) Being a jerk
2) Being obsessed with the fear of being seen as a jerk.

Ironically, both of these paths lead to the same destination.

Like the difference between making a mistake and being paranoid about making a mistake, you are most likely to create the very results that you try too hard to avoid.

Set your goals and go after what you want, but drop the paranoia and learn how to relax along the way. You’re going to be misunderstood and you’re going to make mistakes. If you can treat that like it’s not the end of the world, the world can be yours.

At least that’s the way I see it.
